Over-the-Rhine - A man is in custody after police say he held a woman hostage at a home in Over-the-Rhine over the weekend.

According to police records, Larry Whatley, 59, broke into Leah Jarmon's home in the 2000 block of Vine Street on Oct. 7 through a fire escape and waited for her to come home. When she returned, Whatley allegedly refused to leave and would not let her out.

On Monday around 1 a.m. a fight broke out between the two and Whatley stabbed Jarmon in the leg with a pocket knife and scissors, records state.

When Jarmon was transported to the hospital, she explained to police what happened.
