Police issue warrant for suspect who stabbed victim in the chest

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Police are looking for a suspect involved in a stabbing Tuesday evening. 

The Hamilton Police Department say they received the call at approximately 6 p.m. of a man stabbed in the chest in the 1300 block of Central Avenue.

Officials say that the victim, Shawn M. Egner, was transported to West Chester Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.

Detectives say they have issued a warrant for Cory D. Ballinger, 27, in connection to the incident.

Ballinger is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes.  He is six feet one inch tall and weighs 180 pounds. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton Police Department by calling 911 or the Investigations Section at 868-5811, extension 2002.
