HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers found some interesting contraband when they stopped a 1999 Jaguar XJ8 on Nov. 7.
According to the OSHP, troopers stopped the Jaguar for a speeding violation on northbound Interstate 71 near milepost 14 in Hamilton County around 8 a.m. on Nov. 7.
Troopers say during the interaction with the driver, troopers detected an odor of raw marijuana.
A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed four pounds of marijuana butter, 37 packs of marijuana gummies, and 10 marijuana chocolate bars, and troopers seized $6,700 in cash, according to the OSHP.
Troopers say the approximate street value of the contraband is $5,200.
The driver, Edwin A. Vega, 34, of Cleveland, was incarcerated in the Hamilton County Justice Center and charged with possession and trafficking of drugs.
