Trial to begin for man accused of inappropriate relations with 6-year-old

LOVELAND, OH (FOX 19) - A trial is just days away for a man accused of molesting a 6-year-old girl.

The report outlines a disturbing incident involving a 30-year-old man and a 6-year-old girl.

FOX19 spoke with the victim's mother who declined to go on camera before the trial, but says she believes there could be more victims.

Almost exactly a year ago, Joshua Lee Robinson was arrested by Miami Township Police for allegations he inappropriately touched a young girl at his then Loveland home.

That girl happened to be a neighbor and the victim's parents reported the incident to authorities. The police report states that "the suspect pulled her pants down and touched her".

The girl then reportedly "told the suspect that no one was allowed to touch her there". The alleged incident quickly ended and the report says "the suspect then gave her a toy".

Robinson was indicted last December and he spent time in the Clermont County jail.

According to the victim's mother, Robinson's wife ran a daycare from that Loveland home. Assistant Prosecutor Scott O'Reilly says it's unclear if that was a licensed daycare where the incident happened, but he doesn't believe Robinson has any prior criminal history.

The trial begins on Monday morning and should wrap up by Wednesday. If found guilty of gross sexual imposition, Robinson faces up to five years in prison and he would also have to register as a tier two sex offender for the next 25 years.
