Campbell County Police arrest suspect wanted in connection to five burglaries

CAMPBELL COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

A suspect is in the Campbell County Detention Center after police officers were able to connect the suspect to recent burglaries in Union, Ky that occurred on Wednesday. 

Campbell County Police arrested, Michael Lepper, 24, of Walton, Ky, after a traffic stop on the AA Highway at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday.

According to officials, in two burglaries, the doors were kicked in to gain access to the homes and witnesses from both scenes reported seeing a brown Saturn with a loud exhaust driven by a white man.  

On Friday, Boone County's Sheriff's detectives responded to Campbell Count they found evidence from the two burglaries in Union and also a cache of property they were able to tie to other addresses. They had on-duty deputies respond to two residences in Hebron and Burlington where they discovered doors kicked in and evidence that connected the man to the break-ins, according to Boone County Sheriff's spokesman Tom Scheban.

Lepper was charged in Campbell County for possession of a hand gun by a convicted felon and served with a parole violation arrest warrant.

Boone County detectives say that in addition to the five burglaries, they anticipate additional charges once they have a chance to match up stolen property recovered to specific addresses.
