MOUNT AUBURN, OH (FOX19) -

A Cheviot mother is under arrest after Cincinnati police say she was found passed out in her vehicle in the parking garage at Christ Hospital, leaving her small children alone with a syringe of heroin.

A passerby called 911 after Vanessa Ottiing's 4-year-old daughter blew the car horn about 12:15 p.m. Sunday, police wrote in her arrest report.

Otting, 32, was found with the syringe next to her right left on the front seat. Her 19-month-old son also was in the car.

She is held on $70,000 bond at the Hamilton County jail. Police charged her with two counts of child endangering and one count each of drug possession and drug abuse instrument possession.

The case goes to a grand jury for possible indictment Nov. 26.

She has a previous arrest involving heroin abuse instruments from 2009, court records show.
