BOONE CO., KY (FOX19) - David Dooley was sentenced to life in prison plus five years on Wednesday for the murder of Michelle Mockbee.
The judge followed the recommendation made by the jury last month.
Dooley was found guilty of murder and tampering with evidence in Mockbee's death. He was found not guilty of kidnapping.
Mockbee was beaten to death inside Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2012 where Mockbee and Dooley both worked.
Prosecutors said there was no physical evidence tying Dooley to the murder but say there were inconsistencies in his story.
