Power restored in Northern Kentucky after car hits pole

NORTHERN KENTUCKY (FOX19) - Thousands of Duke Energy customers in Boone County lost power Wednesday after a car crashed into a pole.

More than 7,000 people initially lost power when the accident was reported on Limaburg Road in Hebron just after 3 p.m.

Power was fully restored by Thursday morning.

Other Northern Kentucky residents also experienced an outage earlier in the day Wednesday.

Around 11:30 a.m., Owen Electric tweeted that four substations went down. About an hour later, they announced that power had been restored to all customers and that East Kentucky Power Company had located a faulty lighting arrestor that caused the issue.
