FOX19 -

AP Specialties is recalling Power Bank Chargers that were distributed from November 2013 to August 2014.

When the unit is being charged or being used to charge another device, it can overheat, causing a fire hazard.

Power Bank charger is a self-contained energy source used to charge cell phones and other devices when an electrical outlet is not available. On the white top of the charger in black letters are “OUT DC5V” and “IN DC5V”.

Officials say the charger was given away as a promotional item and that the name or logo of an organization may appear on the side of the power bank.

Consumers should contact AP Specialties at (888) 877-7221 or online at www.apspecialties.com for a replacement.
