CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Freestore Foodbank begins its annual holiday food distribution on Monday.
Starting at 8 a.m., clients who stop by the food bank can receive a holiday box of food, with enough provisions for a Thanksgiving meal.
20,000 local families ate a holiday meal last year thanks to the Freestore Foodbank and community donations.
The boxes include chicken or turkey, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned cranberry or pumpkin, stuffing or rice, macaroni and cheese, and brownie mix or other dessert. Each client will also take home a bag of produce.
The distribution center, located at 112 East Liberty Street, is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week until 6 p.m.
Volunteers will also hand out on food boxes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
