Protesters at a rally Downtown were arrested after blocking I-75 (FOX19 NOW)
WEST END, OH (FOX19) -
A "Hands up for Justice" rally in Cincinnati to protest no indictment for a Ferguson police officer who fatally shot an unarmed teenager ended with several protesters under arrest when they blocked and shut down a major highway.
No one was hurt when the rally spilled from the federal courthouse Downtown onto northbound Interstate 75 at Ezzard Charles Drive shortly before 7 p.m.
But 10 people were handcuffed after police say they ignored orders to get out of the highway. They will face charges of inducing panic and disorderly conduct, a police spokeswoman said.
The suspects are scheduled to appear in a Hamilton County courtroom Wednesday.
