Two arrested for shooting death of Cheviot teen

CHEVIOT, OH (FOX 19) -

The Cheviot Police Department, with the help of Green Township Police, made two arrests in connection to an early Tuesday morning shooting death of 18-year-old Chandler Baker.

Baker died Tuesday at UC Medical Center after police found him in the back of an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Dina Terrace. 

According to police, he has relatives who live in the complex

Police say an officer on routine patrol heard gunshots in the area of Albert Street and Applegate Avenue just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police think Baker was shot at the intersection of Albert Street and Applegate Avenue before jumping a fence and collapsing. Several shell casings were found about a block away on Albert Avenue.

On Saturday, police arrested Kendrick McCloud, 19, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and is currently being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center.  He is due in court on Monday.

According to police, a 17-year-old male was also arrested Saturday and charged with murder.  He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation is still on going.
