PRICE HILL (FOX19) - By Kendall Herold
A major traffic nightmare is over for many West Siders.
The widening and construction along U.S. 50/River Road at the Warsaw Avenue and Elberon Avenues connections has been completed.
Officials will make the announcement Monday afternoon, marking the end of two years of construction in the area. The area of road was rated in "poor" condition for several years, but the project has also caused a major headache for those who travel along U.S 50/River Road daily.
State and city officials are hosting a ceremony Monday to mark the major projects' completion.
The 1 p.m. event will be on the north end of the new Warsaw Avenue ramps. The location is accessible by way of West 8th Street and Glenway Avenue to Wilder Avenue to Warsaw.
Parking will be available on Warsaw Avenue behind the barricade.
