SB I-75 shuts down overnight this weekend

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Watch for nighttime closures this week on southbound Interstate 75 south of the Norwood Lateral as a railroad bridge is replaced.

A single lane will shut down 8 p.m. Thursday, followed by double closure 11 p.m., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The ramp from the Norwood Lateral to southbound I-75 also will close 9 p.m.

A rolling roadblock also will be in place Thursday to relocate a crane.

The lanes and ramp will reopen by 6 a.m.

Lane closures also will be in place for pavement work on southbound I-75 at the Mitchell Avenue interchange beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday and reopening by 6 a.m. Friday.

All lanes of southbound I-75 will shut down 11 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday between the Norwood Lateral and Mitchell Avenue.

The ramp from westbound Norwood Lateral to southbound I-75 also will be closed. Single lane closures will be in place beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday.

These closures were initially scheduled for Friday night but were changed to Saturday due to weather.

ODOT suggests motorists detour around the area by taking westbound I-275 to eastbound I-74 to get back onto I-75. The ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound Norwood Lateral will be open to traffic.

All lanes of southbound I-75 will also be closed 11 p.m. Dec. 8, 9 and, if necessary, Dec. 10 until 6 a.m. the following day.

All work is dependent on the weather.

Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers, and arrow boards and signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure and detour.
