Update: Missing Amelia man located

CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

UPDATE: Dec. 5, 12 p.m.: Gary Geiger was safely located and transported to Mercy Hospital for examination, authorities report. 

"It appeared he was in satisfactory condition. His family and we are pleased that this incident has come to a good end," read a release from Clermont County Police.

Clermont County police are searching for a missing Amelia man.

Police say they believe Gary J. Geiger, 66, might have walked away from his residence Wednesday night.

According to police, Geiger was last seen wearing a red checkered shirt and jeans.  They say he additionally might have been wearing a Fedora hat and a black colored Carhart type coat. 

Clermont County police say that Geiger has been diagnosed with dementia.

Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of Geiger is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 513-732-7510 and/or 513-732-7545.
