CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
After a frustrating Thanksgiving tournament in Anaheim, the Xavier Musketeers used hot three-point shooting to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 97-84 Saturday night.
In a game where Xavier's leading scorer Matt Stainbrook suffered foul trouble early, the Musketeers relied on the sharpshooting from the duo of Myles Davis and J.P. Macura. Davis scored a career-high 18 points, including four three pointers.
Macura scored all his 13 points in a 13-minute span in the second half.
Xavier (6-2) shot 52 percent from three (11-21), and a total of 56 percent from the field.
Up next for the Musketeers is a home match-up against IUPUI.
