Cincinnati Police's Traffic Unit is investigating a crash that left one dead and three injured Sunday on Westwood Northern Boulevard.
Police say at approximately 12: 55 p.m., Patricia H. Banks, 61, was operating a 2011 Toyota Corolla westbound on Westwood Northern Boulevard attempting to turn southbound onto McHenry Avenue. She failed to yield to approaching traffic and struck a 1998 Buick LeSabre, operated by 58-year-old Peggy Hawkins.
Officials say the transported Hawkins by the Cincinnati Fire Department Units to UC Medical Center. She succumbed to her injuries from the crash at the hospital.
According to authorities, Banks was transported to Christ Hospital by the Cincinnati Fire Department Units. She is listed with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
Johnny Hardy, 61, was sitting in the passenger front seat of Hawkins' car and was transported to UC Medical Center by Fire Unit. He is listed with minor, non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities say Courtney Cook, 29, was sitting in the passenger back seat of Hawkins' car and was transported to Mercy West with minor injuries.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Everyone involved appeared to have been wearing their seat belts, police said.
