Tri-State gas prices hit new low

Gas prices across the nation have hit a four-year low.

The national average for regular, unleaded gas is $2.72 per gallon, the lowest since November 2010 according to AAA. That average is down 12 cents a gallon since just two weeks ago.

In the Greater Cincinnati region, gas is below $2.50 in a lot of places.

According to Gas Buddy, the cheapest gas as of Monday morning is at the Marathon gas station on Buckwheat Road in Milford where it is $2.41.

Experts say crude oil prices, an abundant oil supply and the value of the U.S. dollar have contributed to the recent drop.

A gas station in Oklahoma City even dropped its prices to $1.99 over the weekend.
