‘Johnny Football' will be making his NFL starting debut Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jay Glazer, of Fox Sports, tweeted Tuesday afternoon that Manziel will replace Brian Hoyer as the starter.

The first-round pick has dealt with his share of controversy since being drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Just this week, Bengals' Head Coach Marvin Lewis referred to Manziel as ‘a midget' on 700 WLW. Lewis has apologized twice since the incident saying he “greatly regrets” the comments he made.

The game will air on FOX19 NOW at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Manziel will face more pressure then normal NFL rookies making their debut. The Browns have made the switch at signal-caller in the midst of a playoff chase. With three games remaining, the Browns trail the division leading Bengals by one and half games. A Bengals win over the Browns would officially eliminate Cleveland from the AFC North.

Cleveland (7-6) has lost consecutive games, and three of their last four. Hoyer was intercepted twice last week in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He has thrown just one touchdown pass compared to eight interceptions his last four games.

The Bengals have their own problems to worry about. Cincinnati saw their game and half lead in the division shrink to just a half-game, following a fourth quarter collapse to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to rout the Bengals 42-21.

FOX19 NOW will have full coverage of the game including ‘SportsWrap' live from Cleveland 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, and a live postgame show immediately following the game on the web at FOX19NOW.com.
