The Ohio State Highway Patrol participated in a six-state OVI project last weekend resulting in 651 arrests.
Of those arrests, 284 were made in Ohio. According statepatrol.ohio.gov, Hamilton County has had 775 OVI enforcements this year. That is compared to the 836 enforcements in all of 2013.
The six states that made up the initiative were Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
“The patrol is committed to removing impaired drivers from our roadways,” Colonel Paul A. Pride of Ohio State Highway Patrol said. “We are thankful for this multi-state partnership that contributes not only to a safer Ohio, but a safer nation.”
