CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati has an abundance of offerings for active residents.

That's according to a recent analysis by finance social network WalletHub, which ranked the Queen City thirteenth on their list of 2014's best and worst cities for an active lifestyle.

Wallet Hub considered 25 factors, ranging from the average fitness club fee to the number of sports clubs, in order to discover cities that encourage and accommodate an active lifestyle.

Cincinnati's plentiful swimming pools and public golf courses helps push it toward the top of the list, but the city still falls behind in the “Budget and Participation" category. WalletHub ranked Cincy number 48 for the percentage of physical activity participants combined with the average costs of those activities.

Here's how the Queen City ranked in the sub-categories.

No. 2: Highest number of swimming pools per capita

No. 4: Highest number of basketball hoops per capita

No. 5: Highest number of tennis courts per capita

No. 2: Highest number of public golf courses per capita

No. 2: Highest number of playgrounds per capita

Omaha, Nebraska ranked top city for an active lifestyle while Laredo, Texas came in last place.
