A small fire broke out at the Lebanon prison Thursday (FOX19)
LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -
A fire at the Lebanon Correctional Institution started in an unlikely way Thursday.
According to Turtlecreek Township Fire Chief Steve Flint, a box in a storage room in the administrative offices of the prison caught on fire when the sunshine from a window struck a magnifying lamp laying on a tape.
An employee smelled smoke and saw the fire.
Officials say the fire was put out quickly and the only thing that was damaged was the box, which was destroyed.
The fire did not affect the operations of the prison.
