RISING SUN, IN (FOX19) -

The Coast Guard and the Environmental Protection Agency are handling an oil spill that left approximately 100 gallons of an oil and water mixture in the Ohio River by Rising Sun, Ind Thursday.

Officials say that the spill was discovered at about 7:45 a.m. at the 504 mile marker on the Ohio River at the Grand Victoria Casino.

Authorities say it is unclear how it was spilled.

The Coast Guard says that it will be doing the investigation and the containment.

No further information has been released.
