Bengals win big in Johnny Manziel's first start for the Browns

CLEVELAND, OH (FOX19) - Going into Sunday's game Johnny Manziel was the talk of the Bengals and the Browns.  The Bengals ruined his first start for the Browns Sunday afternoon in Cleveland winning 30-0.

It was the first road shutout for the Bengals since 2008.

Manziel didn't look comfortable in the first start for the Browns. He was 10 of 18 for 80 yards, two interceptions, zero touchdowns and was sacked three times.

"We didn't want him to be 'Johnny Football' against us," said Carlos Dunlap after the game.

The Bengals defense shut down the Browns who finished the game with 107 yards of total offense. The Bengals picked up 24 first downs to five for the Browns, who went just 1 of 10 on third down.

Jeremy Hill had a monster game for the Bengals rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns.  He led Giovani Bernard in touches with 25.  Bernard rushed for 79 yards. 

Mike Nugent nailed two 44-yard field goals and a 34-yard field goal in the game to help give the Bengals the lead.

In the fourth quarter, Rex Burkhead sealed the win with a 10 yard rushing touchdown.

Andy Dalton finished the game 14 of 24 with 117 yards passing and an interception.

The Bengals take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos next Monday night at Paul Brown Stadium.
