CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An inmate from the Hamilton County jail escaped from University of Cincinnati Medical Center for about six hours overnight, Cincinnati police said.

Daniel J. Dickerson, 37, was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed medical condition when he vanished about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

He was last seen wearing a hospital gown and orange and white striped pants. He was not wearing shoes, police said.

University of Cincinnati police found him on the hospital property by 5 a.m. Thursday, said Lt. Tim Brown, Cincinnati police's night chief.

Dickerson was booked into the jail Monday on a probation violation charge from a theft offense, county records shows.

He is scheduled to go to court on that case Tuesday.

Now he likely will face a felony escape charge.
