Butler Co. Sheriff's Office helps donate bikes to children in foster care

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Butler County Sheriff's Office and an owner of a local business teamed up to help donate bicycles to children in need.

Dave Lodder reached out over social media that he wanted to donate bikes that he repaired to foster children in Butler County. Lodder said he had 10 bikes ready to distribute but needed help getting them to the kids.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office investigator, who is assigned to Children Services, created a list of children in foster care that will will receive a bike for Christmas.

Donations have grown to 20 bicycles, three big wheels, several scooters, new toys, hats and gloves.
