Bengals playoff scenarios entering MNF

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Only one week's worth of games and a Monday Night Football game left, the Cincinnati Bengals could be as high as a two-seed or completely out the playoffs.

The task for the Bengals remain simple. A win against either the Denver Broncos or the Pittsburgh Steelers put the Bengals in the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.

If the Bengals lose their final two games of the regular season, they would need some help from other teams to get in the field.

We'll start with the best-case scenario and work our way down.

2-Seed in the AFC

  • Bengals would need to beat Denver and Pittsburgh. Denver would have to lose to the Oakland Raiders in week 17.

3-seed

  • Bengals would need to beat Denver and Pittsburgh. Denver would have to beat to the Oakland Raiders in week 17.
  • Bengals lose to the Denver Broncos, but win against the Steelers. The Colts would have to lose to the Tennessee Titans in week 17.

4-seed

  • Bengals lose to the Denver Broncos, but win against the Steelers. The Colts would have to lose to the Tennessee Titans in week 17.

5-seed

  • Bengals beat the Denver Broncos, but lose to the Steelers.
  • Bengals lose to the Broncos and Steelers. San Diego and Baltimore lose in week 17.

6-seed

  • Bengals lose to the Broncos and Steelers. Either San Diego or Baltimore lose in week 17

No playoffs

  • Bengals lose to the Broncos and Steelers. Both San Diego and Baltimore win in week 17.
