Theft suspect hides from police in drain pipe behind Chuck E. Cheese

A theft suspect has been arrested by Colerain Township Police after hiding from officers in a drain pipe.

Authorities say a man was caught by police tampering with vehicles and trying to steal the catalytic converter off of a car. When he saw the officers, the man fled, eventually hiding in a drain pipe behind Chuck E. Cheese in the 8800 block of Colerain Ave. 

Police were able to talk him into coming out and he was arrested at the scene. 

The suspect has been identified as Robert Masur, 35. He has been charged with theft, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, possessing criminal tools and attempted theft.
