HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Police have arrested a man who allegedly shot a clerk Monday in an attempted robbery at Speedy's Drive-Thru.

28-year-old Robert Dezarn is connected to four robberies over a two week period, Hamilton officials say. He is charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault for the incident at Speedy's Drive-Thru.

Officers found employee Michael Richardson, 36, suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach when they responded to the business, located at 809 N. 2nd St., a police report shows.

He was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

"Our hard work coupled with help from the community and our partners at the Butler County Sheriff's Office succeeded in making this Christmas holiday safer for all,” said Captain Craig Burcheit.
