ROSELAWN, OH (FOX19) -

A father is under arrest after authorities say he led them on a chase with his toddler in his car and crashed into two other vehicles, sending a total of five people to hospitals.

Joshua Roaden, 31, of Brooksville, Kentucky, was booked into the Hamilton County jail early Monday and held overnight without bond.

He faced a judge Tuesday morning on several charges including aggravated vehicular assault, fleeing and eluding, child endangering, possession of drug abuse instruments, drug possession and theft.

According to court records, a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol saw Roaden make an improper turn and marked lanes violation on Paddock Road near Summit Road in Roselawn just after 10 p.m. Sunday and tried to pull the burgundy, 2011 Mercury Sable over.

Roaden took off, leading the trooper on a chase for about a half mile until Roaden crashed into two other vehicles.

At the time, Roaden's 3-year-old daughter was in the backseat. Two other children also were injured in the other cars.

A total of five people went to hospitals as a result of the accident, the trooper wrote on Roaden's arrest slip.

Authorities found 1 gram of crack cocaine, five needles, heroin and three spoons with residue inside his car.

A judge set Roaden's bond at $13,000.
