HARRISON, OH (FOX19) - Two fathers ended up getting in a brawl of their own at their sons' wrestling match in Harrison Saturday.

According to police reports, Harrison police were called to Harrison High School around 5:30 p.m. for a report of an assault. When an officer arrived, the victim, Kamel Shalash, said he was cheering on his son who was wrestling against Fairfield High School when another father punched him.

Shalash said he was yelling to his son during the match saying 'he's done!' because his son was winning and the opponent's nose was bleeding profusely. That's when the opponent's father, Bradley Sper, allegedly put his hand on Shalash's shoulder and yelled 'he's not done!'

When Shalash asked Sper why he was yelling, he says Sper yelled again, saying the only reason his son was losing was because he had a broken nose.

Shalash says Sper then punched him in the mouth.

Police records show Shalash had a swollen lip and a cut on top of his hand from the altercation.

A witness at the scene also confirmed Shalash's account, records state.

The Harrison police officer later called Sper's phone to talk to him about the incident. He told the officer he punched Shalash in self defense. At that time, the officer told Sper to report to the police department to be arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge.

Sper was released on bond and ordered to stay away from the victim.
