Bengals set sights on AFC North title, home playoff game

Once Dre Kirkpatrick completed his 'pick-six,' Bengals fans shifted from worrying about making the playoffs to where they will land in the AFC playoff picture.

The win over the Denver Broncos cleared the picture for the Bengals. The biggest hurdle...they have made the playoffs. Now they set their eyes on winning the AFC North title for the second consecutive year. A win over the Pittsburgh Steelers will accomplish that feat. Along with the AFC North title will come a home playoff game.

A win on Sunday will guarantee the Bengals either the two or three seed in the AFC. The Bengals will be the two-seed with a win over the Steelers and a Denver Bronco loss to the Oakland Raiders. A two-seed would give the Bengals a coveted first-round bye.

Cincinnati will receive a three-seed with a win over Pittsburgh, but a Broncos win over the Raiders.

If the Bengals lose to the Steelers, Cincinnati will be the four-seed. This would mean an away game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Four teams are still mathematically alive for the sixth and final seed in the AFC: San Diego, Baltimore, Houston, and Kansas City.

If the Bengals were to receive the three seed, one of those four teams would visit Cincinnati Wild Card weekend.
