Stores stay open on Christmas Eve for last-minute shoppers

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Time is running out for last minute shoppers and retailers are pulling out all the stops in hopes of attracting business.

Several Cincinnati area stores have remained open for more than 24 hours at a time or are extending hours to accommodate the crowds.

Kohl's

department store has been open for 100 straight hours. The round-the-clock shopping started at 6 p.m. December 19 and runs through 6 p.m. tonight.

ToysRus, Target and other retailers have also extended hours through Christmas Eve.

If you're looking for a specific item, retail experts suggest trying the more expensive stores, citing that it's more likely to be in stock. If you don't know what you are looking for, they say gift cards which can be purchased from the local pharmacy.
