Disaster relief charities, like the one in Blue Ash, people are not wasting time to help individuals in Columbia, Mississippi, where a tornado took four lives and destroyed dozens of homes on Tuesday. This natural disaster left many without much days before Christmas. It's times like this where Matthew 25: Ministries, steps in.
"We have a disaster relief team that left on Friday morning. They will be arriving in the Columbia, Mississippi area around noon today," Mathew 25: Ministries Program Director, Joodi Archer said.
They will be setting up a local distribution where people can come and get supplies.
Also, the relief program will have custom disaster relief vehicles that will go into the communities delivering products house to house.
Matthew 25 Ministries is aiding in Mississippi right now, but there are ways you can help here.
"We are looking for the products that will help someone in those first few days and get them back on their feet. So we are looking for things like personal care products, cleaning supplies, safety gear and non-perishable food," Archer said.
Those products can be delivered at their facility on Kenwood Road in Blue Ash.
For this trip to Columbia though, more was given than their typical disaster aid trip.
Giving the joy of Christmas to some of those that need it the most this holiday season.
