A woman is under arrest after police say she led police on a chase through Norwood while drunk, and while she had a child in the car.
Authorities say two Norwood police officers responded to Kroger after they received a call about an 'obviously intoxicated' person with a small child.
On arrival, one of the officers saw a vehicle speeding out of the parking lot. When the officer tried to pull over the car for reckless operation, the driver took off.
After a brief chase from Montgomery Road to Woodburn Ave. to Madison Ave., the drive lost control and struck a parked car as she was turning on to Ashland Ave.
The driver and passenger tried to flee but were caught by police.
After investigation, police say they determined the woman driving was the intoxicated female mentioned in the original call.
No one was hurt but, according to officials, the 7-year-old child was traumatized by his mother's actions.
The mother, Tasha Fleming, 32, is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, child endangerment, driving under the influence and drug abuse. She is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
