A four-year-old Bowling Green boy is reported in good condition after he was left alone in his house for several days after his mother apparently killed herself. The body of Carolyn Carter was found in a bedroom in her residence (on Campbell Road) on Tuesday morning. State police were called to the house to check on Carter and report she apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her son, Cleveland Cavazos, was found in the house. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was in good condition yesterday. Deputy Coroner Harold Sanson said that neither had been seen outside the house in more than a week. Sanson said Carter had been dead for at least three days when her body was found.
