OVER-THE-RHINE (FOX19) -

A teenager's gun accidentally discharged as he fled Cincinnati police late Monday, authorities said.

No one was hurt.

The 19-year-old man was a passenger in a 2001 Toyota Camry officers pulled over about 11 p.m. after the driver failed to properly signal while changing lanes at 12th and Main streets in Over-the-Rhine, said Lt. Kevin York, the night chief.

The driver remained with the vehicle, but the teen got out and ran off with a 9mm in his hands.

He did not brandish the weapon at officers, York said.

The teen jumped onto a fence near Famous Neons Unplugged bar and was climbing over it when the gun went off.

He was taken into custody without further incident and faces several felony charges.
