Last day for Goodwill donations if you want a tax deduction

FOX19 FOX19
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

We are just hours away from the New Year and folks across the Tri-State are rushing to make their final donations of 2014.

According to Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries, this is the last day of the year to donate if you want a tax deduction, and it's also the busiest.

"We take everything you don't want anymore," said Ann Walters, sales manager of Ohio Valley Goodwill. "We take housewares, shoes, purses, linens, clothing. And the clothing doesn't even have to be something we re-sell. We recycle."

Even thought they take pretty much everything, Goodwill officials say clothing is in short supply this year.

The Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter is also in need as cold weather approaches. They desperately need hats and gloves and all donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions call (859) 291-5555.
