FOX19 - A semi-truck driver is in jail after being arrested on the Ohio turnpike for driving with a blood alcohol content level three times the legal limit.

Ohio State Patrol troopers responded to the Ohio turnpike on Dec. 27 after several motorists called, expressing concern about a semi-truck driving erratically.

When a trooper located the truck, he saw the driver weaving outside his lane, officials say. As the trooper pulled over the truck, the driver struck a guardrail.

According to the Ohio State Patrol, the driver, identified as Adam Wrobel, 39, of Illinois, was operating his semi-trailer with a BAC of .249 percent.

Wrobel was taken to jail on an OVI charge but was released after his court appearance.

Authorities say the legal alcohol limit of truck drivers is .04 percent, as opposed to the .08 limit for other drivers.
