Bluiett's double-double not enough for Xavier, Musketeers fall to DePaul

CHICAGO, IL (FOX19) -

Trevon Bluiett's double-double wasn't enough for the Musketeers (10-4, 1-1 Big East) as they fell to DePaul (8-7, 2-0 Big East) 71-68 Saturday.

Bluiett finished the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds and an assist. He scored all 19 points in the second half.

Myles Davis came off the bench was the only other Muskie to have a double-digit performance against DePaul with 14 points. 

The Blue Demons held Matt Stainbrook to a season low five points.  He's only recorded two double-digit performances in the past six games.  

Xavier finished the game shooting 34.8 percent from the three point range.  The Blue Demons finished with 50 percent from the three point range and made 52 percent of their field goals. 

Three players had double-digit performances for the Blue Demons. Billy Garrett Jr. was the leading performer with 15 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

Xavier plays Seton Hall Wednesday at the Cintas Center at 7 p.m.
