The City of Cincinnati is aiming to boost housing redevelopment in neighborhoods across the city.

The pilot program, called 'CoreFour,' focuses on eight neighborhoods, which were selected due to their alignment with current development initiatives.

The launch is part of the City's Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)--a program that allows developers to apply for city funds to create homeownership and rental projects.

CoreFour is offered in any of Cincinnati's 52 neighborhoods but projects within the eight focus neighborhoods will be given preference.

The CoreFour neighborhoods will rotate between 4 neighborhoods semi-annually.

The first four neighborhoods are: Evanston, Avondale, West Price Hill and Walnut Hills. The second four neighborhoods are: Northside, Madisonville, College Hill and Westwood.

About $4.5 million will be allocated for the 2014 Winter NOFA.
