Man who died in Louisville crash was from Florence

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

A man who died in a Louisville car crash Sunday was from Florence, officials say. 

The coroner revealed that Jeremy Alexander, 35, died from blunt force injuries from the car crash.

According to FOX19 NOW's Louisville sister station, WAVE, Alexander died when he collided with a disabled car that had stopped in the roadway on Interstate 65. 

The driver of the car ran out of gas on the highway and left the scene to get assistance, authorities told WAVE. Alexander was driving a pickup truck southbound on I-65 when he hit the abandoned car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Alexander's last known address was on Sing Street in Florence.
