DAYTON, KY (FOX19) -
Fire crews continue to investigate a fire in Dayton, Ky. that spread to multiple homes Thursday afternoon.
According to authorities, the fire broke out in the 900 block of Ervin Terrace in Campbell County around 4 p.m.
Three homes and four people were affected by the fire.
Officials have not yet said if there are any injuries but firefighters were seen rescuing a cat and giving it oxygen along the street.
Red Cross responded to the scene to offer aid to those affected.
The fire chief said the arson team is being called to investigate but have not indicated if the fire is suspicious.
The freezing temperatures were a slight problem because the water being used to put out the fire created patches of ice on the road. Salt was brought to the scene to make sure the road didn't get too slick.
