AMELIA, OH (FOX19) -

Investigators found no evidence of a bomb at Amelia High School after the school was evacuated Friday, officials say.

According to Sheriff A.J. Rodenberg a threat was called in to the school just after noon.

The Sheriff's Office conducted a perimeter search of the school but found nothing so they decided to clear the school, officials say.

Students were sent outside while officers brought in K9 units from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office to search inside. They were then sent home.

Rodenberg says the search was conducted successfully and no bomb was found.

Authorities continue to investigate and are working to identify the origin of the threat.
