CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Thousands of new seats are being installed at Great American Ball Park for the national All-Star Game this summer.

Some 19,000 of the 38,000 seats are in place and more will be once temperatures warm into the 30s.

Borke Mold Specialists in Butler County completed the mold for one set of seats and is working on the next set so Great American is ready for its national audience in July.

Hamilton County faced costs as high as $5 million to help upgrade the stadium. But the company is part of a do-it-yourself plan formed by the county to help taxpayers save money.

Borke is making the molds, a Toledo company is making the replacement seats, and former jail inmates and other employees will be paid about $10 an hour to install them at the stadium. With this plan. the county will spend about $1.3 million.

The Cincinnati Reds are replacing the cup holders.

Everything should be in place for the July 14 All-Star game, which you can see on Fox19 Now.
