CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

A 77-year-old woman was sentenced Friday in connection to a fraud case involving former Ohio lawmaker Peter Beck.

A judge sentenced Janet Combs to five years of probation on charges of receiving stolen property.

Combs is accused of stealing $250,000 from her organization Ark by the River Fellowship Ministries. She is a former associate of Beck, who was involved with Ark by the River's finances, according to documents.

Beck is accused of misleading investors about the financial status of his company, Christopher Technologies LLC, and using their money for personal gain, according to the indictment filed in 2013. His charges include engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, perjury and money laundering.

The former Republican state rep of Mason is awaiting trial and Combs is expected to testify against him.
