Two hurt in Butler County mobile home fire

ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two men including a firefighter were hurt and taken to a hospital after fire broke out in a trailer park overnight.

Both are expected to recover, said St. Clair Township Fire Chief Larry Anglin.

Crews responded about 2:30 a.m. to the "Pines" trailer park on Mostow Drive after fire started in the back bedroom/bathroom area, he said.

Three people were inside the mobile home. A mother and father in their 60s escaped, but their son, who is in his 40s became trapped.

Firefighters rescued him.

A firefighter was hurt after slipping on ice.

Both were taken to Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Damage is estimated to be minimal, between $7,000 to $10,000.
