(FOX19) -

Cincinnati turned it over 20 times and dropped a second straight game in a 63-50 loss at Memphis Thursday night.

Trailing by eight at the half, UC climbed to within one point on an 8-1 run to open the second half. That run was undone by the Bearcats inability to find the basket in the final ten minutes of the game, going on a stretch with just one field goal in six minutes at one point.

Troy Caupain led UC with 14 points, while Deshaun Morman added 11 points off the bench. Austin Nichols carried the Tigers with 17 points and Avery Woodson added 14 points.

The Bearcats' Octavius Ellis had his worst shooting night of the season scoring just two points in his home away from home at Memphis.

UC (11-5, 2-2) returns home Saturday night to host Temple at 7:30 p.m.
