WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -

The man who committed West Chester's first homicide since 2013 was indicted on two counts Friday.

Morris Hodge Jr., 27, was indicted on one count murder and one having weapons under disability.  He will be arraigned on Jan. 20.

Hodge was identified as a suspect in the homicide of Anthony Lamount Elliot.

Elliot was gunned down in the 5100 block of Aster Drive around 5 p.m. on Jan. 5. Hodge was seen running from the scene by witnesses. Police have not released a motive in the shooting, but police believe the shooting was not a random act.

According to West Chester Police Chief Joel Herzog, Monday's homicide was the first homicide since 2013.
