CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The man who was accused of shooting a cab driver in the chest on Jan. 10 was indicted Friday.

Lateef Dean, 18, was indicted on one count aggravated robbery, one count robbery, one count felonious assault and one count possession of cocaine.

According to Cincinnati Police, a Luxury Taxi driver was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt near the intersection of Liberty Street and Sycamore Street around 1:30 a.m.

Bronco Milific, co-owner of Luxury Taxi, has identified the driver to FOX19 NOW as Abdinasir Warsame.

Milific says Warsame picked up Dean at Newport on the Levee and drove him to the intersection of Liberty Street and Sycamore Street. That is when Dean pulled a gun demanding money from Warsame.

According to police, Dean shot Warsame and ran away from the cab. While attempting to flee the scene the suspect was hit by a vehicle.

Warsame and the suspect were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Milific says Warsame is expected to recover.
